Interior Design

There are a couple of things that seem to be very much exciting and one of them being to see the home interior come to life.

It is more than just adding the belongings rather it is about getting your creative skills to work and transform the ideas into reality.

The interior designer out here becomes one of the key contributors in this overall process of transforming your house into what you had perceived it for.

The designer would firstly explain in detail all the steps which would be involved in turning your dream home into reality.

This would help you in becoming aware of how the progress is going on and at the same time, it would allow you to enjoy the process of also being involved in various steps of designing such as purchasing of certain materials, giving your output on the work being carried out and so on.

Let’s get it started:

So let us first begin with introducing yourself and your project.

You can contact the company through various modes such as email, telephonic conversation, one-to-one meeting.

You would need to provide your name, phone number, where do you reside, what is your project all about and your email id in case if not sending out an email.

This information would help the company to properly understand the scope of what the project is all about.

Whether the designing has to be done for one room or multiple rooms, whether it is residential or official location, is it a completely new structure that needs to be created or a renovation to the existing one?

So these questions and the details which the client would furnish, in a way would help the designers to prepare themselves before meeting up with the client and sharing their outputs.

Meeting up the client:

This step helps to develop basically a clear direction as well as the scope of the project.

This meeting can be held either in the company office, your house or any location you would want to. This is to understand what you have in mind and what is your vision.

There would be a series of questions to get more information about the project. The client can freely answer all of the questions wherein the designer would slowly get a clear idea about the client and their members.

This would not mean that the client cannot ask questions, surely they can and they should. The designers would answer all of the client queries in detail.

They would also explain the remaining steps in detail along with the costs it would take and the timeline of the project.

If the client wishes to see a few of the completed projects, then they would be surely shown the same so that the client is ultimately satisfied before finalizing the contract.

Visiting the site/location:

In this particular step, the designer would be visiting the house or the location of the project for gathering more of the detailed information.

The measurements would be taken making a note of the registers, mantles, electrical points, hearts and so on. Photos of the location would also be taken at each angle.

The designer would try to understand the context which would be the architectural style of the site, how much of the natural light is available and from which angle, the flow of space and so on.

There would be questions also asked to get more information about the site wherein it would help the designers to learn more about the specifications of the client which they may miss to mention.

All of the measurements, photographs as well as the information that is gathered would help the designers to prepare for the next step.

Plan View:

The next step is to create a scaled plan view of the site for which the project needs to be started. It would seem to be a drawing of the room.

The focus out here would be on the considerations of the size, functionality as well as the proportion. The designers would be determining the needed objects for the layout of the room.

These preliminary plans would be reviewed with the client hence it is a need to understand that this is just a proposal and subject to changes.

One can easily experiment with the placement of the furniture or any other objects. The designer would be suggesting multiple ways for achieving an overall aesthetic look within the limitations of the project.

Simultaneously the client would also be shown certain samples regarding the flooring materials, fixtures, window treatment and choice of fabric which would be incorporated in the final design

Presentation of the design:

This is a part of the previous step wherein the designer would choose certain stain colors, fabrics, and lamps to be shown to the client.

They would be developing a consistent palette of materials, colors, and textures. The designer would be assembling all of the samples, drawings, and photographs for the presentation and it would give you a picture of how the room would appear once it has been completed.

Once the client is satisfied with the plan and design then they can accordingly confirm the same with the designer. This final presentation of design and layout would be cross-verified to a much detailed description such as the fabric being used, the type of wood, the quantity, knobs and the cost.

The designer would then discuss with the client about the timeline, installation details, payment and every other particular in terms of construction, delivery, and setup.

Construction:

Whether you are planning of building a new home or breaking down the existing one, the designer and the contractor would be working along together to create the masterpiece that you have envisaged.

The interior designer would be involved in the process of construction and they would be overseeing it all. It is the designer’s responsibility to ensure that all of the work is going on smoothly and as per the plan and schedule.

Also all of the materials, fixtures, fittings are being delivered on time and getting installed properly. They would have to carry out the quick quality check so as to ensure that none of the items get damaged and the exact quality as guaranteed is being delivered.

Completion of the project:

The project completion phase would be to have a thorough check-up of all the various aspects related to getting the work done.

Everything should be carried out as per plan and that it has turned out to be great as well as correct functionally. This is basically the final step in the design success.

The client can ensure that everything they had wanted just the way has been delivered to them. Your dream house is finally ready as per the schedule and deadline.
